What happens if the battery dies while I'm outside?
Most smart locks have a backup option - either a physical key slot, a 9V battery terminal on the outside you can touch to power it temporarily, or early low-battery warnings weeks in advance.
Can you install a smart lock I already bought?
Yes. We install all major brands. We'll verify it's compatible with your door and handle the full physical and digital setup. If it won't fit your door, we'll tell you before we start.
Do I need a Wi-Fi bridge or hub?
Some locks have Wi-Fi built in, others need a small plug-in bridge to connect to your network. We'll tell you what your specific model needs and can set up the bridge if required.
Are smart locks actually secure?
Yes. The physical deadbolt is the same strength as a traditional one. The digital side uses bank-level encryption. The main risk is a weak code like 1234 - we'll help you set up something secure.
Can I still use a regular key as backup?
Most smart locks include a physical key slot for emergencies. We test the backup key during installation and make sure you know where it is and how to use it if needed.
