Should I try to pull the broken piece out myself?
We'd recommend against it. Tweezers and pliers usually push the fragment deeper or scratch the inside of the lock. If it's sticking out enough to grab with your fingers, you can try - but if it's flush or deeper, call us.
Will my lock still work after you remove the piece?
In most cases, yes. The lock itself is usually fine - it's just blocked by the fragment. Once we remove it and clean out any shavings, it should work like normal.
